Steph Landry: Thoughts on Month One
First things first. I’m Steph, the design resident this spring at People’s Liberty. Lia, Kyle and I are wrapping up month one of the Residency, and so far it’s been a wild ride. There is so much happening here; it’s not hard to believe we’re already approaching the end of the first month! It’s an honor to be apart of this amazing team at PL.
This past month I’ve re-designed the People’s Liberty website and created graphics for the People’s Post with Lia. Currently, I'm designing collateral for Project Grant III, consuming copious amounts of coffee and bonding with the team.
I didn’t know what to expect when I said yes to the Residency. I knew I wanted to be a part of People’s Liberty based on my experience during Launch Weekend. This month has not only been busy with work, but adjusting to working with a new team of people. One thing that Jake, Aurore, Megan and Eric have down is, making everyone feel apart of the team on day one. I feel like I’ve been on this team for years, even though it’s only been a month. They’ve done such a great job with keeping us busy and providing feedback to us along the way.
I can’t believe the Residency is going by this fast, but I’m taking in everything I can from this experience and can’t wait to see what I learn in the coming months!
