The Inevitable Change.
Change is hard. In the past year, I’ve graduated college, gotten married, moved into an apartment with my husband and two cats, and scrambled to figure out what I want to do with the rest of my life (my quarter-life crisis). Whew. It’s been a whirlwind.
After working at my first “big girl job” as I like to put it, I was feeling unfulfilled and underwhelmed. Cue in: People’s Liberty. After realizing in the last 2 years of college how much I loved combining my heart for social change and my developing design skills, I found PL at just the right time. I applied for the resident position and now here I am!
One of my absolute favorite parts about working at People’s Liberty is getting to spend time with the current round of Project Grantees. I love their energy, their heart and excitement for their emerging projects, and following them along on that journey. It’s a dream to be surrounded by people who are so passionate about civic engagement in the city.
I’m a little over a month into the residency, and with the upcoming Globe Grant applications being available for the last time and my ever-growing list of social media events to promote, I know the next two months will be anything but boring.
Change is hard, but it’s necessary for this journey.
